Service Delivery in South Africa
Introduction
We aim to take a holistic view at service delivery and service delivery challenges that we as a country face. We aim to establish how far we have come since democracy, examine mechanisms designed to facilitate and fast track service delivery. We look at safe guards and governance mechanism adopted and implemented to ensure effective and transparent service delivery. We look at the role of ICT and e-Governance in streamlining and aligning of said systems and mechanisms. This is done by tapping into the powerful and well-regarded pool of experts in government, academia and industry from both within the country and abroad to investigate these issues in an objective and clear manner. Delegates will acquire a clear understanding of the whole concept of service delivery and also mechanisms such as intergovernmental relations, the proposed single public service and also they will understand the role of the citizen in fulfilling their constitutional agreement or contract of citizenship of the republic, the responsibility and mandate of the leaders
